Senior Educational Psychologist MA (Ed Psych), BSocSci (Hons) SRP, MSPS

Yvonne Yong is a Senior Educational Psychologist registered with the Singapore Registrar of Psychologists (SRP) and a member of the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS). She completed her Master of Arts (Applied Educational Psychology) at the National Institute of Education (NIE) in 2016. Yvonne provides both assessment and therapy services at Bloom. She has more than 10 years of experience working with the special needs population, conducting psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions with children with developmental and learning differences, social and emotional issues and challenging behaviours. Yvonne has rich experience working with preschoolers in early intervention, as well as developing their social emotional skills. Yvonne has a gentle and encouraging approach that quickly puts children at ease. She adopts a family-centred approach and focuses on the family and child’s strengths when carrying out interventions. Yvonne uses a combination of various techniques and approaches such as social thinking, functional behaviour analysis, DIR floortime, cognitive behaviour therapy, Hanen, structured teaching, functional communication and executive functioning training to formulate her intervention plans.
