Dr Celeste Teo completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London (UCL) and is registered with the UK HCPC and the Singapore Psychological Society. She is also accredited in systemic practice by the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AFT). Her clinical practice spans public health services, university settings, and private practice across Singapore, Malaysia and London. Celeste works with individuals presenting with mood and anxiety disorders, chronic health conditions, identity and relational concerns, grief, bereavement, and migration-related adjustment.
She adopts an integrative and culturally attuned approach to therapy. She draws on evidence- based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy and systemic family therapy, tailoring her work to each person’s cultural background, developmental stage, and lived context. Having lived across Malaysia, Thailand, Brunei, the UK and Singapore, Celeste has a deep appreciation of the ways culture, belonging, and family systems shape wellbeing. She intentionally incorporates this perspective into her work, creating a safe and grounding space where clients feel understood, empowered and supported through life’s challenges.
Celeste holds several positions, including Research Fellow at the Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions (BISI), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She currently works with Bloom clients on Thursdays as part of her clinical practice.
